The Adventures of Daniel and Jeannie

So my last Blog got me to thinking of all that Daniel and I have accomplished and experienced since God put us together!! I thought it would be cool to put all our destinations and experiences thus far into one blog for all to see! This will be fun to add to and look back on!!! I am going to start with a pic from our very first trip together (Orlando Florida). Which also happens to be where Daniel proposed to me!!! It will always be a very special place in our hearts!!!

                                                       Orlando Florida

I was 18 and Daniel was 21 in this picture! We were madly In Love and never left each others side! I remember being So excited for my first vacation without any parents LOL And there is no one better to plan a trip to Orlando Florida then Daniel!!! Still to this day it is Daniels favorite place to visit!! During this trip we also went to Sea World, Universal Studios, Ripple's Believe It Or Not, I-Drive and much more! Daniel ran me around like a chicken with his head cut off and when we finally came home I was EXHAUSTED!!!! More importantly though I was ENGAGED to the man I wanted to be with Forever.

                                                                 Las Vegas

The next Pic is from our first trip to Las Vegas!! I wasn't old enough to Gamble or drink at this point but we did lots of shopping, sight seeing and saw the Blue Man Group! They were amazing! Not sure who the Chinese lady is in the picture lol but that's my dad standing between us.

One of our other small vaca's that we year was that year was To Garden Of The Gods! We have lots of memories on this trip! Don't love this pic since Dan makes me look as white as a ghost but oh well.

For Daniel and my First year wedding Anniversary He surprised me with a Hot Air Balloon ride!! We had to wake up at like 4:30AM and I had NO idea what I was in for! He knew it was something I wanted to cross off my bucket list but oh boy was I scared!! Once we got up in the air we popped some champagne but I still wasn't old enough to drink it! : )

                                                                      Arizona
Our first trip with a baby was to Arizona to see my sister Ave and her soon to be husband Charlie! It was HOT but we swam at my sisters pool everyday and Autie Ve' loved spoiling her first niece!

Before Ashlyn was even 2 she got to go on her first trip to "The Happiest place on Earth"! Disney World!  Of Course this was Daniel's doing Again! I swear he would of moved us all there if we let him!

Florida

New Mexico

When Ashlyn was 18 months old we bought our very first house in Frederick Co. and  a month later we welcomed our second daughter into the world!  Payton's first Big trip was to New Mexico to visit my dad and see the Balloon Festival they have each year! The girls loved it!!!

  Hawaii

In 2009 we took our First trip to Hawaii! We stayed at the Hawaiian Village on the Big Island and then flew to Maui and met my mom! It was an AMAZING vacation and we fell in Love with Hawaii  right away! Some memories I have are swimming with sea turtles in the man made bay, put putting, waking up to the sound of a million birds out our window, Whale watching, and hiking up to a famous waterfall where we swung on a rope swing! The water was freezing and I remember not wanting to let go!! I wanted Dan to catch me so I didn't have to drop into the water but he didn't and I eventually fell in! LOL It was so much fun and a memory that is instilled into my mind!
  
                                                                            

                                                                      Minnesota
After Having our third baby girl in 2009 we took a trip to Mall Of America! Makaylin was only around 4 weeks old and I remember she cried the entire way!!! This is also where Payton jumped off a bench and hit her front tooth up into her gum! It killed the tooth and after getting home the dentist had to pull it. This is after getting on the plane to start our adventure.

                                                                     Hawaii

Daniel and I started to realize how much we LOVE to travel and we loved Hawaii. We went again just the two of us and then last year took all three of our beautiful girls!!!





On this trip we hiked Diamond Head Crater and was so impressed that Ashlyn and Payton hiked by themselves the whole way!!! We also went to Pearl Harbor and took a tour on Mighty Mo battle ship!! Another great thing to check off my Bucket List!

We had to see The North Shore and the HUGE waves! Pretty awesome!!!

                                             

 California

We not only have been to Disney world like 5 times but a few years ago we also took a trip to California and visited Disney Land! Which by the way fits into a parking lot of one park at Disney World! LOL Just a little fact. This trip we went to Santa Monica Pier and rode all the rides, Disney Land and stayed at a hotel on the Beach in Oxnard California.

During the last few years Daniel and I have also gone on some trips alone! :) We love having the one on one time and making these important memories together!!! Its alwayd hard to leave the girls but we always come back refreshed and closer to one another! Here are some pics of where we have been and what we did!

We got Frozen Hot Chocolate at the Famous Serendipity!! So yummy but make sure you make reservations!!!!

We saw a Broadway show "Mary Poppins" in our private balcony seats!! It was way better then I had ever hoped!





Rode the Subway around NYC and I have to be honest I was a little nervous! LOL






                 We took a trip to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami!!

 This is Dan eating some fresh Crab! I was eating a pasta dish of course since I dont like Seafood.

We layed out and relaxed on the beach! One of my favorite things to do on any vacation!!!

San Francisco

I loved San Francisco!! I flew down there to meet Dan after one of his business trips and we had such an amazing time together!! I did have to go shopping right away since it was freezing!!! I was expecting hot weather and it was overcast and cold. I think the weather made it even more romantic for us though!!

Daniel surprised me the first day in San Fran with a horse ride down the beach! It was SO much fun and Beautiful!!! Loved it!!! We also toured Alcatraz and walked peir 31 and saw the seals!

Seattle

In 2010 we went to Seattle and ate at the top of the Space Needle! It revolves slowly around and in about an hour you have seen the whole city form 500 feet in the air! Pretty cool! Another Bucket list check!

We also rode The Duck around Seattle and that was alot of fun!










 
                                         Carnival Cruise

                                                                    Jamaica



We went to Jamaica and rafted down the White river singing Bob Marley songs! The tour guides were hilarious and cracking us up the whole time!











 After rafting we went Zip lining through some of Jamaica's "friendly Forest" as the locals called it! Another thing that got my blood flowing but was a blast!!!!
















We swam every day, enjoyed the pool, free food, did trivia nights, karaoke nights, watched movies on the main deck and so much more! The girls had a blast and LOVED kid Carnival!!

Grand Cayman

We went jet skiing and on a beach tour in Grand Cayman. It was my first time and the ocean makes me really nervous! The tour guy and Dan were laughing at me the whole time.  When I got back  Dan told me that the guy who rented them to us thought my jet ski had died because I was going so slow! Ha Ha

We visited Daniel's brother in Beaumont Texas and saw a Texans game in Houston.

                                                               San Antonio

We loved the river walk in San Antonio and I remember one night walking along and seeing this egg drop right in front of us! It almost landed on my head we were so close. I was pregnant with Makaylin at the time and I thought this was a sign from God that we were going to have a BOY! LOL I was wrong!

The past 9 years have been Amazing and full of good memories! I cant wait to see what we can add to this list in the next 9 years!!! God Bless!!

Ashlyn is turning 7!!!

I can hardly believe it has been 7 years since my first born came into our life!!! It feels like just yesterday when I was eagerly awaiting her arrival and bouncing on my mom's exercise ball (hoping that might hurry things up)! I was 19 years old, been married for 10 months and living in my moms garage! It was a 2 car garage and we had hung blinds up from the ceiling to create "rooms". There was Daniel and my bedroom which barely fit our queen size bed, the nursery with a little book shelf as her closet and a living room with the T.V. and a couch. We were So excited and nervous to have our very own baby girl! Were we ready to have a baby? Anyone that knew us probably would have said No but God knew differently!

Dan was going to school full time (20 credit hours) and working full time! I was also working full time as a nanny of two 2 year old twin boys! I loved nannying and had been a nanny for 5 years, so I had lots of experience with all ages of kids! Still we had NO idea what we were in for!!

After Ashlyn came Dan and I were very stressed with the jobs, work and new baby. We went through some hard times but  we were so blessed to have family around and helping us along the way. Although I look back on some struggles we faces I can now see how much stronger those struggles made us and caused our love and trust for one another to fill our hearts!

We have come SO far since then and we have our Beautiful, smart, loving, witty and generous daughter Ashlyn to show for all our hard work. She has brightened our life and showed us what life is really all about! She forced us to grow up quick but is helping us stay young forever! I thank God every day for bringing this little girl into our lives!!
